Huawei, the Chinese firm has finally launched the much-awaited wearable fitness band in the Honor series named as Honor Band Z1 in India. Keeping the budget segment in mind, Huawei has released its Honor Z1 Band fitness tracker in the Indian market. Priced at an affordable range of Rs. 5499, the new fitness tracker is now available exclusively on Flipkart. Earlier, the wearable was showcased in the month of October alongside the Honor 7 smartphone.

The Honor Band Z1 will go on sale exclusively via Flipkart starting today. Huawei has unveiled its new fitness tracker which has plenty to show off. Honor Band Z1 is a water-down version of a smartwatch and more than that it is a capable fitness tracker that helps in tracking the overall health of the user.

Specifications

Huawei launched Honor Z1 Band that comes with a circular design with a brushed metal bezel around the corners and display at the center. The band is dust proof and water resistant and has been certified with IP68. The Honor Z1 Band sports a 1.06-inch Oled circular display with a pixel resolution of 128 x 128 pixels. The fitness band is powered by a Cortex M4 STM32F411 chip made by STMicroelectronics which is paired with 128KB RAM. The band is compatible with both Android and iOS. The device also comes with a Bluetooth connectivity option that has a range of 10 metres.

 

Commenting on the announcement, Mr. P. Sanjeev, Vice President Sales, Huawei India – Consumer Business Group said, “We are pleased to announce the launch of new Honor Z1 Band in India today. Consumers in India are becoming serious about their fitness regimes and are therefore looking for a gadget that tracks their overall health. The Z1 Band is our latest offering under Honor umbrella that deliver information on user’s sleep schedule and tracks fitness. We are hopeful that this new band would be received well by the Indian audience.”

The device sports a polished metallic finish which is backed by a 70mAh battery. The company claims that the fitness band can deliver up to 4 days of working time and up to 14 days of standby time. The device comes with a magnetic charging dock using which the band can be fully charged in 1.5 hours or can be charged for 10 minutes for a full day’s use. The Honor Z1 band is available in two color variants such as subdued black strap with Gun-Metal Black Band and Cool cream strap with Silver Band.

Huawei Honor Z1 Band comes with an in-built pedometer that counts steps along with the accurate distance that a user has run. The band is combined with MyFitnessPal app that has a step-by-step tracking mechanism helping users who are always on the move. It also keeps track of the calories burnt and the number of hours the user has slept. In order to keep track of the data, users need to download the MyFitnessPal app on their smartphones.
