How many times have you seen people and kids recklessly crossing railway lines when the signal is red? The track security in India is almost nominal and this leads to numerous accidents every day. Cities like Mumbai and Chennai, which have local trains see accidents like almost 7 times a day. Recently, a similar accident was avoided in Mumbai.

A child was saved in the nick of time from being run over by a local train at the Ambernath railway station in Maharashtra after an ATS officer pulled him off the tracks just before the train entered the platform. The incident which occurred around 4:05 pm on Sunday was caught in the closed-circuit cameras of the station.

This was a miraculous escape, and quick thinking by fellow travellers made it possible. However the question here is, how could the parents leave the child to himself?
