During the IPL season 9, it was a one-sided game between Sun Risers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) held at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Uppal. KKR was exceptional in both batting and bowling. They dominated in every format and clinched a 8 wicket victory. During the 18th over bowled by pacer Morne Morkel, Naman Ojha lifted the ball down the ground where Andrew Russel and Piyush were on Long on and off respectively.

There was a brilliant piece of bowling between those two where he grabbed the ball in his hands and then crossed the line, but uplifted the ball in air. the West Indian transferred the ball to his right hand and then threw it to Chawla who was in close vicinity. The leg-spinner had a lot of work to do as the ball was over his head, so he jumped up in the air and brought it under control with a left-handed effort.
