Scores of students waited endlessly for release of the first cut-off list for 65 aided and government colleges affiliated to Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCSU), which was scheduled to be out on Thursday. However, the list could not be released owing to some technical problems.

Earlier, the university released notification and invited online applications for the admissions into regular courses like B.A, B.Sc., B.Com., B.Sc. (Agriculture), B.Sc. (Physical Education). A huge number of candidates applied for the admission process. Chaudhary Charan Singh University formerly Meerut University, is a public state university located in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India. The university was established in 1965. It was later renamed to its current name after Chaudhary Charan Singh, former Prime minister of India. The university celebrated its silver jubilee in 1991. There are five faculties with 22 UGC sponsored and 35 self financed/job oriented courses being run in the campus. A distinct feature of the academic program is the semester system. The University has many degree colleges affiliated to it.
