“Demand For Setting Up Museum In Memory Of Kalam In The Capital” In Lok Sabha
Today a member in Lok Sabha demanded that a museum should be set up in Delhi in the memory of former President A P J Abdul Kalam and DRDO Bhavan should be renamed after him. The birth and death anniversaries of Kalam must be observed in a befitting manner, said AIADMK member A Anwhar Raajhaa.
Tamil Nadu government has already declared Kalam’s birthday on October 15 is celebrated as ‘Youth Awakening Day’ on the memory of the former President and established an award of eight gram gold medal with Rs.5 lakh cash in his honour.
Museum for the A P J Abdul Kalam:
Soures reveal that Raajhaa told, “On this occasion, I would like to urge upon the Union Government to establish Abdul Kalam Memorial Museum in the National Capital and the DRDO Bhavan in the vicinity of his Delhi residence must be re-named as Abdul Kalam Bhavan,”.
Paying tributes to Kalam, Raajhaa told “the former President had started as a researcher, evolved as a missile scientist and proved as a physicist”. He added “That is why, Pokhran-II forced the super power of the world to forecast that India will be a super power in 2030,” .
