Indian Institute of Technology conducts Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) every year. A huge number of graduates and who are studying in the final year appear for the examination. The score is used by some Public and Private Sector Undertakings for employment processes. Direct recruitment to Group A level posts i.e., Senior Field Office (SFO Tele), Senior Research Officer (SRO) (Crypto) and SRO(S&T) in Cabinet Secretariat is now being done on the basis of GATE scores. Candidates who are preparing for the GATE examination should know the cut-off marks so they have an idea that how many marks they need in order to qualify the examination. For your convenience here we have provided the previous year cut-off marks and GATE 2016 expected cut-off marks.

GATE Previous Year & Expected Cut-Off Marks:

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) jointly administer the conduct of GATE. The operations related to GATE in each of the 8 zones are managed by a zonal GATE Office at the IITs or IISc. The Organizing Institute (OI) is responsible for the end-to-end process and coordination amongst the administering Institutes. GATE examination is too tough so the qualifying mark is less.
