The Chinese Smartphone manufacturing firm has now introduced a new smartphone namely Gionee P5W. After launching its much-awaited Marathon M5 smartphone in India, the company has now listed Gionee P5W smartphone on its global website. The Chinese firm has not yet revealed the details regarding the price and availability of the smartphone. There is no word whether the new P5W will hit Indian shores or at what price range. A couple of weeks back, the company has officially launched Marathon M5 smartphone with a whopping 6020 mAh battery in India.

Gionee seems to compete for its rival smartphone manufacturing firms with the continual launch of new handsets into the smartphone market. The upcoming smartphones of Gionee have been showing up in certification and now the latest handset of Gionee goes official listing on the company’s global website.

Specifications of Gionee P5W

Gionee P5W sports a 5-inch IPS display featuring Oncell technology with a pixel resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The handset is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC processor paired with 1GB of RAM. The device measures 143.3 x 72 x 8.9mm and weighs 153 grams. In terms of Storage, the device includes an internal storage of 16GB which can be further expanded via microSD card for extra storage. On the Camera front, the smartphone comes equipped with a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED-flash alongside a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The Gionee P5W runs Android Lollipop operating system along with the vibrant Immersive UI.

In terms of Connectivity, the handset includes the usual connectivity options such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and Micro-USB 2.0. The Gionee P5W is fueled by a 2000mAh battery. The device has some features that include Face Unlock and the smartphone uses DTS technology to deliver a pretty good sound experience. With this DTS sound technology, one can experience perfect sound effects in anytime and anywhere. Gionee has announced that the smartphone will be available in wide range of color options such as White, Blue, Red, Yellow, and Black colour variants.

Last month, the company has announced its fourth smartphone under the Elife series dubbed as Elife S6 with a a slim metal body. The dual-SIM smartphone is likely to go on sale in the smartphone market very soon. However, the company has not yet confirmed the pricing and official launch date of the Gionee P5W smartphone.
