Google to Launch Asus Chromebit in India in January at Rs. 7999

The Search engine giant Google in collaboration with Asus will be launching Asus Chromebit in India. During the Google for India Event, the Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced that the upcoming Asus Chromebit will be launched in India in January 2016 with an affordable price tag of Rs. 7, 999. It was announced by Caesar Sengupta, who is the Product Management Director of Google at the Google for India event in Delhi.

Google describes the device as a computer stick which is smaller than a candy bar. Despite small in size, it has the capability to transform into a full computer just by plugging the device directly into the HDMI port of your TV or monitor. This way you can transform this smaller device into a desktop PC without an output of 1080p. Here are the amazing features and specifications of the new Asus Chromebit.

Specifications of Asus Chromebit

The Chromebit is a perfect upgrade for an existing desktop which will be very much beneficial for schools and businesses. The device is powered by Rockchip’s RK3288 quad-core processor which is clubbed with 2GB RAM. In terms of storage, the device includes an internal storage of 16GB. On the connectivity front, the device supports Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and has a USB 2.0 port. The Chromebit runs Chrome Operating system and also supports Smart Ready controller and an ARM Mali 760 quad-core GPU.
