Huawei, the world’s second largest smartphone manufacturer, today announced a ‘special edition’ variant of Nexus 6P smartphone in India. After launching the Nexus 6P smartphone back in the month of October, the Chinese smartphone makers today announced the availability of the special Limited Edition Nexus 6P in Gold variant in India. This special edition is actually a Gold colored variant, which will accompany the Grey and Silver color variants which are currently available on Flipkart.

The company announced that the Nexus 6P Special Edition will exclusively go on sale via the giant E-commerce portal Flipkart starting next week. Priced at Rs 43,999, this new gold variant of Nexus 6P smartphone will only be available in 64GB storage variant. The price range of this gold variant is Rs 1,000 more than the standard edition. The company is also offering an additional 10 percent bank offer on the first three days starting December 21.

Allen Wang, President of Huawei India, Consumer Business Group said, “The Huawei Nexus 6P has been well received by the Indian audience and keeping in mind the niche target group, we have introduced the gold colour Special Edition of the smartphone.” 

Specifications

The Nexus 6P smartphone comes with high-end specifications and features. The color of the smartphone is the only difference of this special edition variant while the rest of the specifications and features endure alike. The Nexus 6P gold edition is designed with an all-metal unibody. Crafted from aeronautical-grade anodized aluminum with diamond chambers surrounding its edges, the sculpted back of the phone emphasizes the low-light-loving, fast-movement-capturing camera. Here are the specifications of the Nexus 6P smartphone:

Design: The new Nexus 6P phone comes in an all-metal body design and measures only 7.33mm thick. The handset has an aluminum body that comes in frost white, aluminum, and graphite.

Display: The device features a 5.7-inch QuadHD AMOLED display with a 518ppi pixel density that comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.

Processor: The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset which has a 64-bit 2.0GHz octa-core processor with Adreno 430GPU.

RAM: Huawei made Nexus 6P comes with 3GB of RAM.

Operating System: The smartphone runs on its latest version of Android ‘Marshmallow 6.0’ which offers a pure android experience, enriched with latest apps and sandwiched by some cutting-edge hardware, available across Nexus devices.

Storage: Nexus 6P is actually available in three storage variants such as 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage variants. Currently, the company has launched only 64GB variant.

Camera: Google has added on a 1.55micro pixel size in which the new handsets sports a 12.3MP rear camera and an 8MP front facing Camera. The device is capable of shooting 4K videos and the device supports a 240FPS slow motion video feature.

Add-ons: Nexus 6P will support a 30FPS Smart Burst feature that lets you make your own GIF animations.

Battery: The device is backed by a 3,450mAh battery. The company claims that the handset will give you 7 hours of use with 10mins of charging. It also comes with the USB Type-C connector which will support fast charging technology.

The Nexus 6P smartphone would be exclusively available on Flipkart.com at Rs. 43,999. The 64 GB storage variant of the Nexus 6P Special Edition would be available with an additional 10% Bank Offer for 1st 3 days starting 21st December, 2015.
