India is still considered as a developing country but not as a developed country. To change this opinion we have to look forward for the development of the country. Change must start from individuals. Here we meet CHHAVI RAJAWAT, the stunning woman who started her first step towards the development of the country with her extraordinary passion to meet the vision- “India a developed nation”.

She is graduated in MBA from BIMM, Pune. If she want she can lead a luxirious life with hansdsome salary by working for the top corporate companies such as Times of India, Carlson Group of Hotels, Airtel, etc. She left her job because she was not satisfied she really wanted to do something better for the development of the country.

Villages are considered as the heart of the Country. She wanted to contribute her part for the development of the country by developing her village. She went back to her village Soda, 60km away from Jaipur, India. She started working for the development of her village. Chhavi Rajawat is elected as the Sarpanch of the village without affiliating to any political party. She is the “First youngest Women Sarpanch with M.B.A Degree” in India.

She has come up with the several projects for the development of the village such as rain water harvesting, toilets
facilities in all the houses, concrete roads and 24×7 electricity etc. She has sucessfully implemented the projects in
her village. She restricted Alcohol and dowry practices in her village. She took initiative to ban child labour and she
has fought against all the odds in changing the Rural Soda village to an Urban Soda.

Chhavi Rajawat implemented some of the development programs in the village
1. She started Rajiv Gandhi Sewa Kendra under NREGA.
2. She opened a Cafe to support the development of Soda village due to lack of funds.
Chhavi Rajawat represented India in the 11th Info-Poverty World Conference held at the United Nations and She was
honoured by former President of India APJ Abdul Kalam at the Technology Day function at New Delhi.
Chhavi Rajawat’s message to the youths of India who are planning to go to other countries to earn money:

“Don’t run away from your roots because that is your foundation and the nation’s foundation too. If you want to make a difference, you have got to start at the bottom. There is so much one can do.”

She left her job, Corporate glamour and city life and went back to develop her village and she has captured so many hearts of the Indians. She is an inspiration for the well educated Indian youth.
