Intex technologies, the domestic smartphone makers has launched a new smartphone under its Aqua series namely Aqua Star 4G at an affordable price range of Rs. 6,499. One of the highlights of this new smartphone is that it comes with an iData Saver feature. This new feature is powered by Opera Max which is an app developed by Opera. Intex is claimed to be the first Indian brand to integrate Opera Max’s functionality into its smartphone.

Through this new iData Saver feature, one can save data consumption by up to 50 percent on images, browsing web pages, streaming via apps such as YouTube, Instagram, Gaana and more. The company touts that this amazing feature especially comes handy when watching image-heavy AV apps such as Instagram and YouTube among others. 

Intex also launched a new flagship smartphone into the Indian market under its Aqua series namely Aqua GenX with decent specifications at a competitive pricing on Friday. The company has been launching many smartphones under the Aqua series both high-end and low-end smartphones. This indicates that the company is likely to enter the top list of smartphones that are affordable alongside expensive handsets. Earlier this month, Intex has launched Cloud Flash smartphone with a double Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Specifications

The new Intex Aqua Star 4G sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with a pixel resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The handset is powered by a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6735P) processor paired with 1GB of RAM. On the storage front, the device includes an inbuilt storage of 8GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. Intex Aqua Star 4G is a dual-SIM enabled smartphone that runs Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system out-of-the-box.

The smartphone comes equipped with an 8megapixel rear camera with LED flash. On the other side, the smartphone has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera also on board. In terms of connectivity, the Intex Aqua Star 4G supports 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, Bluetooth and other standard connectivity options. The smartphone is power-packed by a 2000mAh battery.

The Aqua Star 4G smartphone will be exclusively available in three colour variants such as Black, Grey, and White colours. The device is priced at an inexpensive price range of Rs. 6499 with an amazing iData Saver feature.
