Here’s news for Akshay Kumar fans to cherish. The first poster of Akshay Kumar’s much-awaited film ‘Rustom’ was released, which looks promising. The actor looks dashing as a naval officer and we cannot wait for the trailer to be released.

The trailer of the film released on June 30. The Airlift actor broke the news on twitter, where he shared the poster and wrote, “Rustom’s patriotism & integrity were questioned. Did he fight back? #3DaysToRustom Trailer@Rustom_Film”

Written by Vipul K Rawal and directed by debutant Tinu Suresh Desai, the film also stars Ileana D’Cruz and Esha Gupta in the lead. The movie set in the 1950s is loosely based on the real-life incidents of Naval officer KM Nanavati, who murdered his wife’s lover and then subsequently turned himself in. The film covers the whole affair and then the court trial of the extremely controversial case in 1959, which brought out debates on integrity and betrayal and had garnered huge media coverage at the time.

The film is slated to release in theatres on 12th August this year.
