A 19-year-old teen who was about to get married this month has passed away after being stabbed by a man after she refused to hop on his two-wheeler and to go out with his friends. According to the Ahmedabad police, the incident happened in Bavla on Wednesday night.

19-year-old Mittal Jadav was stabbed by Ketan Vaghela for a number of times, this happened when the teen refused to go with him and his friends.

Ketan has surrendered to the police, it is believed that Ketan was a lover of Mittal, and after finding out that she was getting married, he stabbed Mittal in broad daylight for a number of times.

Ramesh Jadav, the father of Mittal has filed a complaint about the incident.

Ketan Vaghela, Shravan, and Dhanraj have been charged for murder and relevant sections of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Prevention of Atrocities Act.

The officials said that the investigation will be done by DSP (Deputy Superintendent of Police) SC/ST Cell PD Manvar.

Mittal was stabbed by Ketan by 6:30 pm on Wednesday while she was with her 15-year-old sister Hina eating at a market near a bus stop in Bavla.

Mittal passed away at a hospital in Ahmedabad on the same night.

The parents of 19-year-old Mittal and their relatives protested outside the hospital where she passed away, they also refused to take her body and are still asking for justice for their teen daughter.

An official statement from the police says, “Ketan Vaghela, who came there with two others, asked the victim to sit on his motorcycle. When she refused, Ketan stabbed her multiple times and ran away with his accomplices.”

The police are yet to release an official statement about the real reason behind the crime and other details about it.
