Oppo, the Chinese smartphone manufacturing company has announced that it will launch its camera-focused smartphone under the F series namely F1 in India. Oppo is likely to debut its new camera-focused ‘F’ smartphone series with the launch of its Oppo F1 in India on January 28. The company has already sent out invites for the launch event. The Chinese firm has made an announcement regarding the launch of the new handset series during the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2016 International trade show. As of now, nothing much is known about the handset.

During the CES announcement, the Chinese behemoth said the new F-Series smartphones will hold photography as its primary focus. According to the statement of Sky Li, Oppo Vice President and Managing Director of International Mobile Business, the new series is said to “inherit the excellent camera performance and exquisite design tradition.” The F-Series smartphone will also include some “impressive specs” at “amazing prices,” added Sky. The manufacturer intends to deliver premium-quality mobile photography experiences with its F-series of devices.

Oppo F1 Specifications (Expected)

Despite the Camera-focused Oppo F1 was previously said to be the global version of the Oppo A53 smartphone, a new report proposes differently. The design of the handset, however, looks similar to that of Oppo A53. According to the report, the Oppo F1 smartphone will come equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera that comes with Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) feature, which we have already seen in the Oppo R7 variants.

On the other side, the device bears an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. The camera will be backed by the company’s native PureImage 2.0+ platform, which will highlight a wide set of modes along with filters. It is expected that the device is said to have a 3GB RAM.

The company has not yet revealed remaining details of the handset such as the processor, display, and battery. However, the Oppo F1 smartphone is rumoured to have a 5-inch display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC. Oppo is well-known for smartphones with rotating cameras and photo-stitching technology. This Chinese handset company was amidst the first to launch its N1 handset with rotating camera in the year 2013.

Last year, in the month of December, Oppo also introduced its new after sales service policy as a part of which it will be beginning 200 new service centers. Apart from this, the Chinese handset firm also initiated the 30 day handset replacement warranty with two years of extended warranty on the newly purchased Oppo handsets.
