As on the Second day (Saturday) the “Piku” movie has collected Rs: Rs.8.70 crore and  Rs.11.20 crore on 3rd day (Sunday). Movie started earning well at Box office. The movie garnered positive reviews from critics. Irrfan Khan will play the romantic lead opposite of Deepika Padukone. Bachchan will essay the role of a Bangali bhadrolok, while Moushumi Chatterjee will essay the role of a family member. Akshay Oberoi will play a cameo role going on a date with Padukone’s character. “It is sure to sustain the footfalls for the weekdays as well. It has registered over 60 % occupancy on an average over the weekend in all Cinepolis theatres,” Principal photography for Piku began in August 2014, when shooting of the film’s first schedule took off in Kolkata.
