Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Cheat Sheet’ For Parliament Speech Caught On Camera

On the penultimate day of the Monsoon Session on Wednesday 12th aug in Parliament, political bigwigs like Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj and Rahul Gandhi gave fiery speeches in Parliament. The Congress vice-president attacked external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj for her alleged involvement in Lalitgate; he also took on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

There were many jibes and digs between the ruling party and the opposition but what has caught the attention of many Twitterati is the picture of Rahul Gandhi’s purported ‘cheat sheet’ on Sushma Swaraj and PM Narendra Modi.

PM Does Not Have the Guts to Sit in This House: Rahul Gandhi in Parliament

As he doggedly made his points in typical-raspy-voiced-Hindi, Sushmaji held my hand yesterday and asked ‘ beta, why are you angry with me? What did I do to you?’ I said  ‘I am not angry. I respect you’. Then I looked into her eyes and said ‘I am only speaking the truth. ‘She turned her face away, unable to look into my eyes’.

Taking a dig at PM Narendra Modi, Rahul added, “Gandhiji ke teen bandar kehte hain – Bura mat dekho, bura mat suno, bura mat bolo. Modi ji ke 3 naye bandar hai, unka kehna hai- Sach mat dekho, sach mat suno, sach mat bolo.” PM Narendra Modi doesn’t have the guts to sit here and face our questions.

Modi ji ne desh ko kaha tha ki, na khaunga na khaane dunga, mai iss baare mein bolna chah raha hun to ye mujhe chup kar rahe hain,” he added. PM Modi’s absence from Parliament, Swaraj’s method of ‘humanitarian work’, Lalit Modi and corruption, he seemed very much at home in the chaos of the House.

Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Cheat Sheet’ Goes Viral on Twitter:

Going by photographs, Rahul apparently made pointers of all that he had to say, which became a rage on Twitter.

Rahul Gandhi’s ‘cheat sheet’ for Parliament speech caught on camera:

Rahul Gandhi’s notes for his speech were caught on camera by Prem Singh, from The Telegraph. The photojournalist captured Rahul’s ‘cheat sheet’ — and the talking points for his Hindi speech were all written in Roman alphabets.

“Log PM Modi ko sunna chahte hai, woh unki rai janna chahte hai, Modigate par, Vyapam par (People want to hear Prime Minister Modi, they want to know his opinion, on Modigate, on Vyapam),” reads the first point.

The “3 monkeys of Gandhi ji” are also listed in his notes. Both points featured in his speech in the House later.
