Spice Mobiles, one of the leading mobile companies in India has launched its first handset tagged with the international smartphone brand “Nexian” in India on Friday. The domestic smartphone manufacturer, Spice has exclusively partnered with the giant E-commerce portal, Flipkart for the launch of the new Nexian NV-45 smartphone in India. The device will be available for purchase on the giant E-commerce website at a most affordable price of Rs. 3,799 starting Friday.

In the beginning of the year 2015, Spice Mobility had announced the launch of its new smartphone brand, Nexian, in Indonesia. It was originated as the Nexian Journey One which was also a part of Google’s Android One initiative that was held last year in India by the current CEO of Google, Sundar Pichai. Spice Mobiles has unveiled its new low-budget Android smartphone namely ‘Nexian NV-45’ in India which is now available for purchase on Flipkart.

Nexian is an Indonesia-based firm which was acquired by the Spice Group in the year 2011. Spice Mobiles has substantially less number of smartphones under its portfolio. With the new NV-45 smartphone, it wishes to target the growing customer support in India which relishes the new pocket-friendly gadgets. The new Nexian NV-45 smartphone comes with decent specifications and features.

Specifications

The Spice Nexian NV-45 smartphone sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA Dragontrail glass display with a pixel resolution of 480 x 854 pixels along with a pixel density of 218ppi. The device measures 132.5 x 66 x 10.6mm and weighs about 141 grams. The handset is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Spreadtrum (SPRD7731) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. On the Storage front, the smartphone includes an inbuilt storage of 8GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.

The Nexian NV-45 comes with a dual-SIM support that runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system out-of-the-box. On the Camera front, the Nexian NV-45 comes equipped with a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash. On the other side, the smartphone houses a 3.2-megapixel front-facing camera. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, and 3G.

The smartphone is backed by a 1650mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 7 hours of talk time and up to 250 hours of standby time on 2G network. The Nexian NV-45 also includes sensors such as an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.
