SSB Recruitment 2016 For Lecturer Posts:
The office of the State Selection Board, Department of Higher Education was set up by Government of Odisha as a statutory body in the year 1975 under erstwhile Education & Youth Services Department for carrying out selection of suitable candidates against the sanctioned Direct Payment posts in the state Cadre (both in teaching and non-teaching) in the aided non-government colleges of the state. It was also entrusted with the responsibilities for selection of suitable candidates for teaching and non-teaching posts both in the Government and aided Schools of the State.

Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
- A candidate should possess a Master’s Degree in the concerned subject from a recognized University with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade with a Second Class in the Bachelor’s Degree.
- Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & PwDs shall possess a Master’s Degree in the concerned subject from a recognized University with at least 50% marks or its equivalent grade with a 2nd Class in the Bachelor’s Degree.
Age Limit:
Applicants minimum age should be 21 years and Maximum age should be 42 years as on 01st October 2015. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.
Application Fee:
A non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five hundred) only for the candidates coming under the Unreserved category and Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two hundred) only for the Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled tribes and PwDs are to be deposited at the time of submission of on-line application.
Pay Scale:
Rs.9,300/- to Rs.34,800/- carrying a Grade Pay of Rs.4,600/-(PB-II)
