Telangana Police Constable Syllabus & Examination Pattern:

The Telangana State Police is the law enforcement agency for the state of Telangana in India. The Telangana State Police has jurisdiction concurrent with the ten revenue districts of the State which is headed by an officer designated as the Director General of Police who reports to the State Government through the Home (Police) Department. The police force was created from the basis of the Andhra Pradesh when the Telangana state was formed.

This year after the bifurcation, Telangana government for the first time released the notification for the recruitment of police constable. Aspirants who have applied or going to apply can check the examination syllabus here.

Examination Pattern:

Telangana State Police constable recruitment consists of two written examinations i.e; Preliminary and Fina written examination. Both the papers is of objective type and is of 200 marks.

TS Police Constable Preliminary Syllabus:

• English
• Arithmetic
• General Science
• History of India, Indian culture, Indian National Movement.
• Indian Geography, Polity and Economy
• Current events of national and international importance
• Test of Reasoning / Mental Ability
• Contents pertaining to the State of Telangana.

The questions relating to ‘English in the syllabus’ will be set in English only in the ‘Telugu/Urdu’ version of the question paper also. The questions are based on the intermediate standard.

TS Police Constable Final Examination Syllabus:

• English
• Arithmetic
• General Science
• History of India, Indian culture, Indian National Movement.
• Indian Geography, Polity and Economy
• Current events of national and international importance
• Test of Reasoning / Mental Ability
• Personality test (the questions will be from Ethics, Sensitivity to Gender and weaker sections, social awareness, Emotional Intelligence)
• Contents pertaining to the State of Telangana.

The questions relating to ‘English in the syllabus’ will be set in English only in the ‘Telugu/Urdu’ version of the question paper also.
