Terminator Redux? Robot Kills A Man At Haryana’s Manesar Factory
According to the police reports, on Wednesday a 23-year old man died of an electric shock after coming in contact with a robot who was working in a factory in Manesar near Gurgaon.
G Ram, who works in the production department of leading unit in SKH Metals, located at the Industrial Model Township (IMT) Manesar, was working in the area where robots function. He accidentally stepped in front of the robot and came in contact with a robot and was electrocuted.
The factory is one among the leading steel companies and is located in the Tau Devi Lal Industrial Model Township in Manesar. The company deals with the steel requirements of automotive industries.

G. Ram, was a contractual worker who hailed from Uttar Pradesh was employed in the factory for nearly two years. Soon he was rushed to a nearby hospital in Manesar but doctors that declared he is already dead and they couldn’t save him.

“The robot is pre-programmed to weld metal sheets it lifts. One such sheet got dislodged and Lal reached from behind the machine to adjust it. This was when welding sticks attached to the pre-programmed device pierced Lal’s abdomen,” a worker told the newspaper.
“The company management and the contractor have been booked on charges of causing death due to negligence,” Assistant Commissioner of Police Rajesh Kuwar told IANS.
