The department of Physical Education was established as a 19th Department in the year 1918. The department is catering the needs of the students of Telangana Districts. The department has several facilities like Indoor Stadium, Gymnasium, Swimming Pool, Cycling velodrome and various grounds for organizing inter-college & inter-varsity tournaments. Construction of Sports hostel is a recent addition to the department. Apart from Osmania university college of Physical Education was established in the year 1993 offering M.P.Ed. Summer/Regular programs. Today this college is offering Two Years M.P.Ed. Course Semester wise and PhD. Program in the regular and part-time mode. Very importantly foreign students as attracted to this college for pursuing M.P.Ed. & PhD programs.
