US Astronaut Scott Kelly Has Shot Yet Another Stunning Photo Of India During His #YearInSpace

Astronaut Scott Kelly has spent more time in outer space. He recently celebrated breaking the US record for the most time spent in space (383 days, on 17 October 2015), floating hundreds of miles above the Himalayas. 500 + days in space is what International Space Station Commander Scott Kelly is aiming for; in an experiment planning to study the long-term effects of outer space.

“Breaking such a record for time in space is important because every additional day helps us better understand how long-duration spaceflight affects bodies and minds, which is critical to advancing NASA’s journey to Mars,” NASA said.

From hundreds of stunning photos of landscapes and city lights, now Kelly has shared a photo of India & Sri Lanka.

Here’s the Tweet:

Kelly is scheduled to come down to Earth on March 3, according to NASA, after having totaled 522 days in space. He launched on March 27 from Kazakhstan aboard a Russian Soyuz rocket along with two cosmonauts.
