The West Bengal Staff Selection Commission (WBSSC) released the notification for the recruitment of Lower Division Assistants/ Clerks (LDA/ LDC). WBSSC LDA/ LDC Syllabus and Examination Pattern:

The West Bengal Staff Selection Commission (WBSSC) was formed under the West Bengal Act XVII of 2011 which was being passed by the state legislature under the assent of the then Governer of the state on 31st of January 2012.The Commission functions under the administrative control of the Govt. of West Bengal in the Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms.

It selects the persons for direct recruitment the posts and services in the State Govt. establishments under Gr. B and Gr. C categories and holds Departmental examinations for promotion to the categories of posts under Gr. B and Gr. C. This year it has released the notification for the recruitment of 599 LDA/ LDC posts. WBSSC LDA/ LDC Examination Pattern:

The WBSSC LDA/ LDC examination is conducted in two papers. Candidates who will qualify in the first paper are eligible for the second paper. Read below for the examination pattern for both papers.

WBSSC LDA/ LDC Paper-I Exam Pattern:

The paper is of objective type and consists os 100 question with each carrying 1 mark with a total of 100 marks. The duration of the Exam is 90 minutes. Following are the topics of Paper-I

WBSSC LDA/ LDC Paper-II Exam Pattern:

WBSSC LDA/ LDC Paper-II exam is the conventional type for 100 marks. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes. The paper is divided into two parts

• Group A: English
• Group B: Bengali/ Hindi/ Urdu/ Nepali
