WeChat app seems to extend its services in India, the US and Hong Kong with the launch of a new landline calling feature called WeChat Out. WeChat, one of the most popular instant messaging service developed by Tencent in China has now added a new feature to its messaging app called ‘WeChat Out’. The new feature introduced by the largest standalone messaging app now allows you make calls to mobiles and landlines. As we all know, WeChat is a huge messaging app with more than 600 million users and it is almost neck-to-neck with other messaging apps like Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp.

The maker of WeChat, Tencent has been augmenting the capabilities of its popular messaging app with WeChat Out that will allow users to call their friends and dear ones across the world through their mobile or landline. The new feature termed as ‘WeChat Out’ is pretty alike to Skype and Viber wherein you have the facility to call any number.

WeChat has been rolling out alike feature to entice its users as a gift of New Year. The instant messaging app now offers its users the ability to dial out to any international landline or mobile number. According to the Chinese behemoth, the new feature provides about 100 minutes of international calling although the person who you’re trying to reach. For now, the new call option is restricted only to three countries such as India, Hong Kong, and the US.

The WeChat app maker, Tencent is promising “more countries and regions in the near future”. WeChat’s parent company TenCent is also offering a free $0.99 credit which will be gifted to any who begins using the service. TenCent also claims that it will get you up to 100 minutes of talk time to most countries. On important point to be noted is that the user has only a week to use that credit before it expires, so try to make use of this amazing offer while it lasts.

How to Use WeChat Out Feature on your Mobile?

As it is a new feature added to the standalone messaging app, WeChat, you might not be aware of how to use this feature for making calls to people who are in abroad. All you need to do to begin using WeChat out is to follow the steps given below:

• Simply tap the ‘+’ icon which is located on the top right of the WeChat app.
• You can find’WeChat Out’ option. Just hit it and then pick from your list of contacts or type straight into the dialer.
