Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) Jamshedpur successfully conducted the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2016 on 3rd January 2016 across various examination centers. A huge number of candidates applied and appeared for the examination. XAT 2016 Analysis: High difficulty level with tricky and time-consuming questions

XAT 2016 concluded on January 3 with the changed exam pattern bringing ease to students on time management even as the difficulty level turned out to be of ‘moderate level’ this year. The one-day paper-pencil based test was conducted simultaneously across 47 cities in India and 2 international cities. After CAT examination, XAT is one of the toughest examination for admission to management programs.

Candidates found the exam paper to be high on the difficulty radar. Even after being promised that the difficulty level of questions would be reduced, the candidates found it to be very difficult. The questions in all sections were tricky which took time to assess the questions. Overall it wouldn’t be wrong to say that the paper was tougher than CAT 2015.

Easy QA section. English and Decision Making sections were similar in difficulty level to the last year XAT paper. The cut-off (for XLRI) is likely to be 33-35 marks.
