A 37-year-old man from California, USA, was arrested by the police after horrified police officers caught him eating his own grandmother.

Dwayne Wallick, the man, was found at 2 pm Monday in the act of cannibalizing Ruby Wallick, the 90-year-old grandmother, in Richmond, California.

When they entered the house, they ordered Dwayne Wallick to stop what he was doing. However, the man attacked the dead woman and ate her.

Wallick was subdued by the police with a stun gun before he got arrested by the police on suspicion of murder.

29-year-old Dwayne Wallick was admitted to the hospital, where he got treatment for the physical injuries that he sustained.

Authorities did not release the motive behind the death of the grandmother.

Officers are investigating whether drugs played a role in the incident.

He will be booked into the Martinez Detention Facility once he is released from the hospital.
