Google Photos Update Features ‘Rediscover This Day’ Recollection Feature

Google is going on impressing with its new technologies and updates for its previous products. Now Google has come with new update of Photos app. Thus, Google separated the app from Google+ and given unlimited storage as new facility. From that moment, Google was trying to update and bring new look for the app and had done lot of changes to make its service more competitive.

The latest update to Photos’ apps and Web interface has added a quite interesting feature that allows user to revisit photos and videos from the current calendar in which previous photos are available. The company has also updated Google Docs and Sheets apps for Android. Google photos give access to the users to revisit the photos and videos that were shot on the same day in previous year with a collage of the images and places photos were taken.

 This option is accessible from the ‘Assistant View’ under Rediscover this day option. “Photos help us reminisce about the things we’ve done, bringing back events from one, two, or even ten years ago,” said Google Photos team. “Today, Google Photos is introducing a new opt-in feature where you can choose to privately rediscover your memories from the past.”

This feature is available on the web and iOS and is also rolling out for Android. The feature is also made as private to the users until they decide to share them. Google is also heading to major steps to make it easier for the users to plat with spreadsheet on mobiles. The updated Sheets app offers auto-fill feature, wherein it can quickly add information based on patterns.

Users can find an auto fill command in the pop up bar when they select the range of cells to enter the data. Automatically the keyboard mode also changes in accordance. For example, if the user is working on a cell, it will automatically show the numeric keyboard instead of alphabetic keyboard. Document editing app now will let users to see the preview of the current notes which helps them get an idea of how the documents will look after getting printed.
