Panasonic Unveiled T50 Smartphone in India with 4.5-Inch Display at Rs 4,900

Panasonic, the Japanese Electronics company has launched its new smartphone namely T50 in India on Thursday. Building on its previous portfolio of T-Series smartphones, Panasonic India unveiled T50 model which is enabled with the company’s exclusive in-house SAIL user interface for a much affordable price of Rs.4,990. One of the main highlights of the budget smartphone is the company’s own Sail UI, which it states is the “smoothest Android user interface yet.” 

Specifications

The T50 smartphone sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA display with a pixel resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The handset is  powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor which is clubbed with a 1GB RAM. In terms of size, the smartphone measures 131.7 x 66.3 x 8.8mm. The device runs Android 5.1 Lollipop that includes an internal storage of 8GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.

The handset is backed by a 1600mAh battery which is available in Rose Gold, Champagne Gold, and Midnight Blue colour variants. The device is established on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, the SAIL UI is a fluid platform that lets users to seamlessly switch between multiple apps, organise apps by genre and control onscreen operations with gestures. There is an advanced launcher setting such as “Batch Arranging” helps connect multiple apps into batches like genre and frequency of use, allows the user to create personalised headers for app management.

“Our latest introduction in the Indian market is a novelty because it arrives with the launch of Panasonic’s in-house software, the SAIL user interface. The UI is even integrated into a specialised SAIL camera. It is an app-driven smartphone which combines 3G connectivity and multi-app smoothness for a flawless user experience in a handheld device,” said Pankaj Rana, Business Head, Mobility Division, Panasonic India.
