Samsung has unveiled two smartphones in India namely, Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7 with 4G LTE support. After a long wait, Samsung took the wraps off the budget Galaxy smartphone series On7 and On5 on Tuesday at a launch Event in New Delhi. Samsung has sent invites to some media persons for the launch event that took place today in Delhi.  Originally, Samsung unveiled both the handsets in China last month and today, it has launched the duo affordable smartphones in India.

One of the interesting features in the phones is that both come with an ultra-saving mode which compresses data by 50 per cent. Of the two, the Galaxy On7 is a top-end phone. Targeting the young users, Samsung has launched best budget smartphones in India. Here are the specifications of Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7 smartphones along with the pricing details and availability. Samsung Galaxy On5 – Specifications

Speaking about the technical specifications of the new Samsung Galaxy On5 smartphone, it comes with a 5 inch HD TFT display. Under the hood, the handset is powered by  a 1.3GHz quad-core Exynos 3475 processor. The device sports a 1.5GB RAM and the handset comes with an onboard storage of 8GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card slot. It is a dual-SIM smartphone that runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

Samsung Galaxy On5 has a sleek design with a metal frame and a leather-type back cover. The device comes with an 8MP Rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera that promises to capture superb selfies. Also, the camera sensors are capable of recording videos at 1080p. The handset is backed up by a 2,600 mAh battery. In terms of connectivity, the device supports 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and GLONASS. The handset comes in two variant colours such as Black and Gold.

Samsung Galaxy On7 – Specifications

Compared to Galaxy On5, Samsung Galaxy On7 is a top-end phone that comes with a 5.5 inch HD display. The handset is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor while coupled with 1.5 GB RAM. The device comes with an 8 GB internal memory which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. Similar to the Galaxy On5, the new Galaxy On7 also runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

Coming to the Camera, the device features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.1 aperture and a 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture. The handset is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery. The connectivity features of Galaxy On7 are similar to Galaxy On5.

Add-ons

Both the devices reportedly come with Ultra Data Saving and Ultra Power Saving modes, which helps with data compression and app management capabilities to help users save up to 40% mobile data and close to 50% longer standby time depending on the smartphone model. The new Galaxy On7 and On5 also come with a mixed radio app and an intuitive media streaming app, which allows access to music for 10 hrs offline.

Price and Availability

Samsung Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7 are priced at Rs 8,990 and Rs 10,990 respectively. Samsung has launched best budget smartphones and it has confirmed that both the devices will be exclusively available on Flipkart. The sale will kick start Tuesday midnight (technically on 4 November, Wednesday). As part of a promotional offer, Flipkart will be offering e-gift vouchers and additional cash back to buyers.
