As we all know this is the second time Facebook has gone down for many users in less than a week. Though there is no official statement from Mark Zuckerberg or the Facebook Team about why Facebook has gone down this week, we have listed out few possible reasons behind the Facebook Outage.

If in case you don’t know, Facebook went down on September 24th for a brief time, much to the frustration of their one billion active users. That’s a lot of advertising revenue to lose for the second time in a week. We’ll update you when the website comes back online.

The below we listed few Possible Reasons Why Facebook Might Have Gone Down:

1. Due to Maintenance and Updation:

Few days back Facebook has gone down and after it came back we had a upgrade, where the videos are on auto play. However there was no official confirmation from facebook regarding this. We speculate that Facebook has gone under maintenance mode due to some up-gradation. So, facebook might be working on some update for better user experience.

2. Hacking Activity

As we know Facebook is the largest social networking site and hackers will always have an eye on it and always look for some loophole to exploit it.

So, there are chances if hackers found some vulnerability that can exploit Facebook and take it down. Or possibly Facebook might have took down the website for few minutes to patch the vulnerability.

3. Server Load

However chances are very less as Facebook has huge servers which can handle ample amount of Traffic. But this could be a possible reason behind Facebook outage.
