11-Year-Old Car Crash Survivor Wakes Up From 2-Month-Long Coma To Find Cousins Had Died

An 11-year-old boy who survived a horrific vehicle accident in February this year woke up from a 2-month-long coma only to find out from Google, a search engine, that the accident had killed four of his cousins.

The group of 7 children left their house and was on their way to buy ice cream when a driver high on MDMA and cocaine struck them.

Charbel Kassas woke up in early April after spending over 2 months in a coma at the Westmead Children’s Hospital in Sydney, Australia.

But before his parents had the chance to tell him that his cousins, 13-year-old Antony, 12-year-old Angelina, 9-year-old Abdallah, and 11-year-old Veronique Sakr, had been killed by the driver, the kid found about everything on Google.

The high driver has been identified as Samuel William Davidson.

It is reported that Charbel is currently walking and is capable of talking.

Initially, doctors thought that he would never recover from his injuries.

David Mannah, a relative of the 11-year-old boy, said that they just want the kid to focus on his recovery.

During an interview with the Daily Mail, David Mannah said:

“When he woke up he didn’t know that Antony, Angelina, Sienna and Veronique were dead, and the family hadn’t had a chance to tell him yet. They wanted him to focus on his recovery but he picked up a phone that was next to his bed and googled their names. He was heartbroken, but he is doing OK now though and the good thing is that he is going to recover.”

The coma of the 11-year-old was expected to last around 6 months, so him waking u after just 2 months is a miracle.

Danny Abdallah, the uncle of Charbel, who had 3 of his kids killed in the crash, said that the coronavirus lockdown has stopped them from visiting his nephew.

However, they use the phone to stay in touch with the 11-year-old, who they call “walking miracle”.

Mr. Abdallah said:

“At the moment he’s awake, he’s speaking, he’s alert and he can see. His brain’s a little bit underdeveloped which is going to improve with time, but he’s walking. This is all to do with these prayers, because his situation is a miracle. He’s a walking miracle.”

Let’s all hope that Charbel will recover fast from his injuries.

God bless you, young man.
