Suicidal Airline Employee Dies After Stealing Airplane, Doing Stunts For 1 Hour, And Crashing It Into Empty Island

A video that is viral on the internet right now shows the moment a plane crashed into the ground after it was stolen by an airline employee, who failed to maneuver it properly

The incident happened in Seattle, USA.

It is believed that the man, an employee of the Horizon Airlines, hijacked the plane from a Seattle-Tacoma International Airport for a brief flight.

He crashed it on a nearby island 40 miles away.

Kathleen Treichel, a resident, caught the entire incident on cam.

CNN reported that the 76-seater airplane took off without authorization around 8 pm on August 11, 2018.

The plane did stunts in the air for about 1 hour and was chased by F15 fighter planes.

It eventually crash-landed in a wooded area.

Officials at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport confirmed the incident.

They said that the employee that was involved in the incident is a ground service agent, who conducted an unauthorized takeoff.

There were no passengers inside the airplane.

The FBI did not consider the incident as an act of terrorism.

At one point in the flight, the man asked the air traffic controllers about the time that he would get in jail for the incident.

He asked:

This is probably like jail time for life, huh? I mean, I would hope it is, for a guy like me.

At one point, he also apologized for doing the horrible act.

He was quoted saying:

I’ve got a lot of people that care about me, and it’s going to disappoint them to hear that I did this. I would like to apologise to each and every one of them. Just a broken guy, got a few screws loose, I guess. Never really knew it until now.

The man did not survive the crash.
