64-Year-Old Man Accidentally Ejected Himself From Fighter Jet During Surprise Flight

A surprise company that was outing to an airbase caused a 64-year-old French man to accidentally eject himself from a fighter jet in midair, grabbing the ejector button in a panic.

The 64-year-old man, whose identity was not shared with the public, was surprised by employees at his form.

He was organized to go on a joyride inside a Dassault Rafale B Jet.

The man reportedly had no desire to fly in a fighter jet and had no military aviation experience.

Thanks to the smartwatch that the man was wearing, investigators found out that his heart was in full tachycardia before the flight.

The heart rate of the man ranged from 136 to 142 beats per minute.

The Rafale B is used by the French air force and has a maximum speed of nearly 1,400 kilometers per hour.

Despite the anxiety that the man was facing, he ended up joining the ride.

When the jet was 2,500 feet above the ground, the passenger panicked and reached for something to hold onto.

The wrong timing of his urge led him to hit the ejector seat button.

This led the man to be ejected.

Not only that, but the man was not wearing his helmet properly, so the helmet went flying in a different direction in midair.

The old man did not sustain any serious injuries in the incident.

Investigators have concluded that the error was caused by an involuntary reflex, prompted by stress and the jet’s sudden and fast movement.

The pilot did not eject from the fighter jet and even managed to land the plane safely.

However, the pilot did sustain facial injuries.
