Actress Priyanka Chopra has always been on the news for a month or more, starting from her meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Germany, she is often criticized for the various deeds, misunderstood most of the time. Now, for another unfortunate reason, she is once again slammed on Twitter regarding her philanthropist activities.
It is very well known that she is the goodwill ambassador for UNICEF, and is currently in Jordan under the organization’s initiative to educate the Syrian kids. PC left for Jordan soon after attending the Toronto International Film Festival, where her Sikkimese production Pahuna was premiered.
Right from the day-one, she has been Priyanka has been updating her Jordan itinerary on social media. The problem occurred when she was trolled for one such tweet saying ‘not visiting rural parts of India,’ where children need help too. The tweet read: “I would request @priyankachopra that do visit rural areas of India where malnourished kids waiting for food”.

Priyanka has responded to this netizen, she said, “I have worked with UNICEF India for 12 years and visited many such places. What have you done? Why is one child’s problem less important than another?”

It is very well known that the situation in Syria after the civil war broke out in 2011 is just worse. A large number of Syrian families were either killed or forced to leave their homes. Since then, these families are struggling for survival inside Syria or are taking shelter in neighboring countries like Jordan.
Check out the photographs of the Jordan shared by her:
Let’s take this trip together… let’s open our eyes and our hearts to the #ChildrenUprooted in the Syrian Refugee crisis. This will be our #MissionForChildren. Let’s show them that the world cares and help them find a way forward.. come along with me.. I’ll update as much as I can and in as much detail as I can… @Unicef #PCInJordan🇯🇴 #syrianrefugees🇸🇾 #ChildrenOfSyria
A class full of future doctors, engineers, police officers, teachers. What breaks my heart is they can’t even access proper schools as refugee kids… how will they access higher education?? These hopes and dreams.. where do they stand in the reality of their world? The government schools in Jordan have added evening classes and 200 schools to accommodate the growing number of Syrian children which is approximately 120000 children..But it’s never enough. The world needs to help. We need to help. PLS GO TO www.unicef.org and DONATE whatever you can… let’s make this a collective #MissionForChildren #ChildrenUprooted #PCInJordan #ChildrenOfSyria @unicef
Just a couple of months back, Priyanka visited Zimbabwe where she met kids who suffered from sexual abuse. Later to that, she attended Toronto film festival where she was also a chief guest.
Priyanka is now getting ready with her second Hollywood project “A Kid Like Jake and Isn’t It Romantic?” after her recent flick ‘Baywatch’.
