[WATCH VIDEO] This 17-Year-Old Kid Topped Gujarat Board With 99.99 Percent In 12th, What He Did Next Will Blow Your Mind!

Not everyone can prosper in education. Such is its virtues, there are few students who are blessed with immense talent and skills. Children in general, strive to attain pass marks in many occasions, though there are kids who only get better with time with proper hard work, there are barely one in million who are “the best by birth”.

And, the 17-Year-Old boy from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is simply an epitome of such qualities. He donned the Gujarat’s board records by scoring a maximum 99.9 percentile in Class 12. But, what stunned everyone is his decision after that. Varshil was quite an intellectual kid from the beginning, many believe that he is gifted. But, less is known about his next plans. We can least expect such a gem of a student turning into a “Jain Monk”.

Sources claim that the boy had such thoughts from the beginning, and scoring top marks could not stop him from leaving worldly desires for a peaceful life. While students of his age are waiting to be admitted to top colleges, this boy from a middle-class family has another plan. Varshil Shah will take Diksha on June 8 which is a religious ceremony that begins the initiation of Jain monks.

The news of him being the topper has surfaced the Internet, and people went berserk talking about how gifted he is. On the other side, Varshil did not call for any celebrations at home. His family are the ardent followers of Jainism and did not want to be in the limelight. It was his uncle Jain who spoke to media about the boy.

His uncle Nayanbhai Suthari was quoted saying Varshil’s words, “The result is as per expectations, but to attain and maintain peace, I think renouncing the world is the only way.”

Contrary to the public opinion, Varshil’s parents are happy with the path their son has chosen. The couple raised their children by following the Jain principles of Jivdaya which mean compassion for living beings. The family does not even use electricity as they believe that many water animals are killed during power generation, in addition to that, they follow the Jain rules or ahimsa or non-violence and do not use television or refrigerator at home.

However, the only place where they use electricity is when their children have to study in the nighttime.

Back then, before his school began in 2016, this genius boy met some Jain monks who helped him concentrate and get high scores in exams. “He came in contact with Surat-based Munni Shri Kalyan Ratna Vijayji three years ago. He was only waiting to complete his school”, said Nayanbhai Suthari.
