After Aamir Khan’s Dangal movie release, the Dangal girls are the talk of the town. The names of Geeta Phogat, Babita Kumari, and Mahavir Singh Phogat are not new now. But, what about the coach?

Dangal might have had a great start at the box office, but one real-life character shown in the film is unhappy with his portrayal. Who is upset with the way he was portrayed in it? He is none other than real coach of Geeta and Babita. PR Sondhi, the real-life coach of wrestlers Geeta and Babita Phogat has taken an offense.

Real Coach PR Sondhi Disappoints With Dangal Movie:

Geeta Kumari Phogat’s Commonwealth games coach, P. R. Sondhi was not particularly happy about his portrayal in the movie. He went to say that the film is marring his reputation as a national level coach.

According to Mail Today, P. R. Sondhi had reacted to the aspect of being on a constant tiff with Mahavir Singh Phogat in the film and also the infamous scene where Mahavir was locked in a room during the Commonwealth games.

In a recent interaction, Sondhi said,

“I HAVE A VERY CLOSE RELATION WITH THE PHOGAT FAMILY. JUST TO SPICE THINGS UP YOU CAN’T DEFAME ME. I KNOW THE NAME ISN’T THE SAME, BUT IT’S QUITE EVIDENT THAT I AM THE PERSON BEING REFERRED TO HERE.”

PR Sondhi About Climax Scene:

“IF A NATIONAL COACH HAD LOCKED SOMEONE THEN WHY NOBODY REPORTED THE INCIDENT? IF YOU ASK GEETA, I AM SURE SHE WILL DENY SUCH INCIDENT.”

Now, clearing the air, Aamir Khan has finally opened up about the allegations about the film and defended it saying,

“NO, HE WAS NOT ACTUALLY LOCKED UP IN THE ROOM. LIKE IN EVERY BIOPIC, SOME BIT OF FICTION IS ADDED BUT THE SPIRIT OF THE STORY OF MAHAVIR, GEETA AND BABITA IS INTACT. THERE MAY BE A FEW INCIDENTS HERE AND THERE WHICH MAY NOT HAVE HAPPENED EXACTLY THAT WAY BUT IN ESSENCE, IT IS THEIR STORY.”
