[WATCH VIDEO] Indigo Staff Beats Up A 53-Year-Old Passenger At Delhi Airport, Gets Fired!

There are many situations that we experience in our traveling through flight journeys, sometimes there’ll be a delay in flights due to technical issues, sometimes due to weather conditions, earlier, there was an incident in which the luggage of the passenger got reached another part of the country, unlike where he is going. After that, Indian legendary sportswoman PV Sindhu too had a bad experience with the flights. Now once again, Indigo has faced the wrath of people once again as one of its staff indulged in an ugly fight with the 53-Year-Old passenger.

The video of the incident has surfaced the Internet garnering huge attention from people including the concerned ministers. Many are questioning the conduct of the airlines. In the video, we can see the ground staffer manhandling a 53-year-old passenger on the tarmac of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International airport.

The scuffle between the passenger and the staffer took place on October 15 when the former was boarding a shuttle to his flight and was barred from doing so by the staffer.

Within few minutes, the argument has soon turned into an ugly fight when the staffer used mild force on the old man. As the staffer tried to pacify Katyal, another of them pinned the passenger to the ground and throttled him. The fight continued for 81 seconds.

Next, to that moment, an official apology was released from the Airlines authorities. The concerned staff was fired.

The letter read, “I acknowledge the unpleasant experience our passenger went through while engaging with our staff at Delhi airport. My personal apologies as this does not reflect our culture. I had personally spoken to the passenger and asked for an apology. At IndiGo, the dignity of our passengers and staff is of utmost importance. Any act that compromises the dignity of either is of a serious concern to us. Under the code of conduct violation, this incident was investigated and stern action was taken against the staff. Once again my personal and sincere apologies to the affected passenger.”

Meanwhile, reacting to the incident, Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju said,”Seeking report from DGCA. The violence of any sort is deplorable and should result in criminal action.”
