Pariksha Pe Charcha: Student Asks PM Modi ‘Are You Ready For Your Board Exams Next Year?’ Read PM’s Response

We all are well aware of the fact that Narendra Modi Ji is from a lower middle-class family and in his initial days he helped his father to sell tea in the railway station. Though he and his family were passing through such hard times he came out and wandered around the country for two years as a teenager looking for spiritual answers. Such high was his thirst for knowledge.

He then came a long way from a chaiwala to India’s Prime Minister and became a great inspiration for the youth today. He is a role model for many across the country and follows him and his guidelines for the success.

In this regard, an event was held which is called as ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’, a gathering of students and teachers. Modi Ji attended the event on Friday in Delhi’s Talkatora stadium to give some valuable tips and instructions to the students. While addressing the event, PM Modi gave a naughty reply to a student’s question, advising him to become a journalist.

During the interaction, one of the students asked PM Modi how he feels given that he would be facing an exam in the form of Lok Sabha elections next year. Girish Singh, a class 11th student, in a candid conversation, posed a question to PM. “I feel we both have exams next year. I will be appearing for my class XII exams and you will be facing elections next year,” the student said.

He said he “wanted to know if the Prime Minister, too, is nervous for the board exams that he will be facing next year.” However, the question brought a smile on the PM’s face and he suggested Girish could take journalism as a career option for his smart way of questioning. Answering his question, the PM said that,

“If I was your teacher, I would have advised you to become a “journalist”, because only a journalist has the ability to “wrap a question” and present it,” he said with a smile. PM Modi added that his sole intention is to work for the 125 crore Indians. His energy and time is directed towards the welfare of Indians and said that “elections are just a byproduct”.

“Results & marks are byproducts of exams, one must concentrate on giving their best, I follow a similar approach in politics, I only look at giving everything I have to my fellow Indians, elections come & go, they are like byproducts,” PM Modi said.

He said that unlike school exams which last for few hours, PM’s exam continues for 24 hours. The result of a small election in a small municipal body in a corner of the country becomes a “headline”.  That was an amazing response from the Prime Minister, isn’t it?

The event was held two weeks after the launch of Exam Warriors, a book penned by PM Modi. Students at the venue, who have read the book, said that they feel the mantras mentioned in the book were effective to fight examination stress. On Twitter, many students used the hashtag #ExamWarriors to ask questions.
