Shankarabharanam / Sankarabharanam Movie Story Line:

Sankarabharanam movie is based on the backdrop of a crime that happened in Bihar. It is partially inspired by the Hindi movie ‘Phas Gaye Re Obama’.

The story revolves around an NRI (Nikhil) who loses his property and business in the USA while recession.He has to pay some amount in order to save his property. He comes to know that he has an ancestral property in Bihar (India). Bihar is known for rampant kidnappings. He sets to travel to India to sell his property and get some money. What he faces in India forms the crux of the story.

Sankarabharanam Movie Review:

The film is comedy entertainer inspired by a real-life crime in Bihar. Nikhil who debuted with Sekhar Kammula’s ‘Happy Days’ play a character of NRI who doesn’t like India much. Nanditha plays the character of a local Bihari girl whose is in love with USA. There is no love story in the film. It not a family film too. Anjali plays the role of a lady don. The story execution is very poor and it is somewhat disappointing.
