Amarnath yatra is on high alert due to some threat perception of intelligence. All the possible arrangements are made in order to protect all the visitors of Amarnath. The Yatra was also attacked last year, so this year, in order to provide a smooth journey to visitors 28000 security personnel, are appointed on high alert.

 

 

Security Arrangements Made by The Government

For the security purpose advisors of Amarnath Yatra made some security arrangements. Which includes, no vehicles are allowed to start from the base camp after 2:00 pm. This is being done so that the visitors would reach the Jawahar Tunnel which connects Srinagar to Jammu before 7:00 pm.

All the vehicles would have RFID ( Radio Frequency Identification Tags ) so that it helps the security personnel to trace the movement of each and every vehicle. 28000 thousand security personnel is appointed in order to provide the smooth journey for all the visitors. Most of this security personnel are from CRPF.

 

 

According to the reports more than two lakh, pilgrims are registered this year for the visit of Amarnath Cave. The 40 day Yatra will conclude on August 26. For the security of the pilgrims, the government decided to create 24×7 motorcycle squads. These motorcycle squads help pilgrim vehicles from staying into main towns.

Last year one of the buses was attacked in Anantnag by the terrorist, In which seven people had died. So to avoid the repeat of the previous year, all the arrangements are made in order to provide a smooth journey to all pilgrims.

Audio from Hijbul Mujahideen

Apart from this, new audio is purposely released by Hijbul Mujahideen, and In this audio, he was assuring Amarnath pilgrims that they have nothing to fear as long as they visit Jammu and Kashmir for their religious interest.

Intelligence is stated that the voice in audio is of Riyaz Naikoo, who is the commander of the terror group. But still, the authenticity of the voice clip is not confirmed yet.

 

 

The audio is of 15 minutes long which is circulated through WhatsApp. Our fight is only against India’s occupation of Jammu and Kasmir. We have nothing against the pilgrims who are visiting Amarnath, stated in the voice clip.
