Oops! Auto-Rickshaw Driver Sues Actor For Using His Cell Number In The Film
Some coincidences are good, some are better and there are some other which we wish that couldn’t have happened. Out of those three possibilities, the third one is something we least wish to, and yes, it is fate if it happens. But, sadly something on a bigger note has happened this time.
This weird unexpected mishap is costing over Rs 40 Lakhs to the actor Shakib Khan. God knows, how it ended up here in this way with him. The incident took place in Bangladesh’s Dhaka. An auto-rickshaw driver is suing for damages after his phone number was used in a movie, leading to a barrage of calls from female fans of the film’s star that he says nearly destroyed his marriage all the way.
This driver named, Jajul Mia has talked to the media on Wednesday, he added that he has been receiving tons of messages from the hundreds of the actors’ fans. This has been happening since the release of “Rajniti” in June. This movie is believed as one of the most admired flicks in Bangladesh which stars its leading actor Shakib Khan, in the movie, the actor is seen giving his contact number to his girlfriend.
On the same, the driver Jajul has said, “The use of my number in the movie made my life completely miserable, every day I got hundreds of calls from mostly female fans of Shakib Khan. They would say ‘Hello Shakib, I am your fan. Do you have two minutes to talk to me?”.
Talking about the same, Jajul went blaming the movie as, since its release, many women are calling him which has almost ruined his marriage life, added that his wife is threatening to leave him. He argued that he couldn’t take a new number because his clients knew the old one and he would lose business aspects.
“I am a newly married man with one daughter. When these calls started coming, my wife thought that I was having an affair,” added the recently married Jajul Mia.
There was even an incident in which one of the callers has traveled over 500 kilometers to see him after learning where he lived. After all this, the driver now wants to sue Khan, who also produced and directed the movie, for damages of five million takas ($60,975).
Post all this, Jajul’s lawyer M. A Majed said he had filed the suit this week, but the district judge was initially hesitant to accept it. “The judge ordered an investigation after we submitted evidence showing how these phone calls have almost destroyed the life of Ijajul,” said Majed.
