Mahesh Babu adopts Siddhapuram village in Telangana

Superstar Prince Mahesh Babu on Monday tweeted that after much thought, Minister for Panchayati Raj and Information Technology K.T. Rama Rao garu and myself have chosen to adopt Siddhapuram  village of Kottur mandal in Mahabubnagar district as part of the initiative to give back to the society, inspired from the real story of his latest hit Telugu blockbuster “Srimanthudu” movie.

He also tweeted that he was looking forward to a constructive and meaningful journey ahead.

Mahesh Babu to adopt a village in Telangana:

Earlier Mahesh Babu adopted his native village Burripalem in Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh on the scheme of ‘Smart Village’ programme of CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

Mahesh Babu said he will bring the village firmly on the path of development. Villagers were said to have welcomed the star’s initiative with open arms and expressed their gratefulness.

This is the second such decision that celebrities from the film fraternity have made and followed it up with a twitter announcement. The first to do so was actor popular south Indian actor Prakash Raj had earlier adopt Kondareddypally of Kesampet mandal in Mahabubnagar district located at Telangana state. Recently, he developed the foundation in the name of Prakash Raj Foundation, it will help him to manage programmes to be done in the development of the village.
