‘Ahalya’ short film makers are back with another short named ‘Nayantara’s Necklace’. The 20-minute short of ‘Nayantara’s Necklace’ show the empty spaces that exist behind the bustling lives of modern metropolises Cities. National Film Award winning actress Konkona Sen Sharma and internationally acclaimed performer Tilotama Shome share screen space together in the short film.

Konkona Sen Sharma and Tilotama Shome are seen portraying the friendship between two completely opposite personalities.

The film revolves around marriage, fidelity and the price one has to pay to live the life one wants to. Actor Gulshan Devaiah will also feature in cameo role in the film. The movie is Directed and screen played by Sujoy Ghosh. Nayantara’s Necklace story is based on a necklace, which is also used as a metaphor for things, which may not seem to be what they actually are, read a statement.

Ahalya has produced by Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films. The short film starring Soumitra Chatterjee, Radhika Apte and Tota Roy Chowdhury playing the lead roles. Radhika Apte pays the role as Ahalya, Soumitra Chatterjee as Goutam Sadhu, an artist and Ahalya’s husband and Tota Roy Chowdhury as the policeman Indra Sen.

The film has shades of The Collection, an episode from TV series and of Satyajit Ray’s short story Professor Shonku and Strange Dolls and also of Alma, an animated short film.
