Ram Charan's Bruce Lee Is A Family Entertainer - Sreenu Vaitla

Ace director Sreenu Vaitla is very confident about the film’s success and shares some interesting things about the movie with us. Here is the full interview transcript.

How did you overcome all the problems that you faced post Aagadu release?

I was given a lot of freedom while working on Bruce Lee even though I bagged a failure with my last outing. Chiranjeevi and Charan kept faith in me and supported me throughout the completion of the film. Post Aagadu release, I learned a lot from my mistakes.

What part did Charan play in your patch up with Kona Venkat?

Kona Venkat and me share a good rapport from a long time. But, small differences raised between us and we didn’t work together for some time. After that, Charan spoke with Kona Venkat and insisted us to work together. I also felt that we need to come together again. I will continue working with him in future again.

Tell us about Charan’s role in the film?

Charan plays the role of a stuntman in the film. He is a fan of Bruce Lee and so we titled the film after him. I felt that a new characterization to hero will go well with the audience. He has a struggle and an important goal to achieve in this film.

Few words about Chiranjeevi’s character in the film?

Chiranjeevi will appear for 5 min in the film. His appearance will be an eye feast for the audience. The film will reach the next level after his appearance. He will be seen in a fight sequence as well. We initially planned a special song, but that didn’t happen.

What change did u find in Chiranjeevi since Andarivadu?

Chiranjeevi is looking like what he was during his Gang Leader movie. His energy levels haven’t dropped and inch. I am very lucky to direct both Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan in the same film.

Are you under pressure while directing Chiranjeevi?

No! There was no pressure on me as we have planned his character well ahead and designed his role with a lot of care. We did our best to highlight his cameo role.

The audience is feeling that there is no novelty in your stories. How different will Bruce Lee be compared to your previous films?

So far I tried two different narrations in my films. I usually try to narrate an entertaining subject or to narrate the subject in an entertaining way. For Bruce Lee, I infused situational comedy and executed it differently. I gave importance to the story and narrated it genuinely.

Your thoughts on MS Narayana and Dharmavarapu Subbarao?

Both of them are very good actors. Tollywood is missing them a lot. We used to have a good time in the sets with them.

Are you planning a film with Megastar?

It is not an easy task to direct his comeback film. I am looking for an ideal script and will surely work with him if I get a chance.
