Rana Daggubati: Never Knew Baahubali Will Have a Massive Impact

Baahubali-The Beginning, a magnum opus by S.S.rajamouli which was released on 10th July 2015 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi created new records in collections and collected more than 500 crores in all four languages also one of the biggest grossing Indian films.

Not, only in India but also in overseas baahubali re-written the records. In US Baahubali is the first film that stood 12th among Hollywood biggies in box office collections. Now, it will be screened at the upcoming 20th edition of Busan International Film Festival (BIFF).

Actor Rana who played a lead role in Baahubali said to the media that the film’s team never anticipated that it will make it so big. He also said that “When the film was happening, we knew it would be big. But we never knew it will have such a massive impact. It has turned out to be one of the top films in the country”. In Lakme Fashion Week 2015 Rana was the showstopper for designer Anushree Reddy along with actress Amy Jackson, who will be next seen opposite Akshay Kumar in Singh is Bliing. An international version of the film, which is 23 minutes shorter than the Indian theatrical version and edited by Vincent Tabaillon of The Incredible Hulk fame, will be screened at BIFF.

When media asked about his upcoming films Rana replied that he is working on an action-comedy project. He also said that “I am doing my own production venture, which will be an action comedy. But we don’t have a title yet. It’s a trilingual film. It will release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Baahubali is the answer for multilinguals”. Baahubali India’s most prestigious film has become one of the highly successful dubbed films. Prabhas, Rana, Anushka, Tammanah played lead roles and Satya Raj, Ramya Krishna, Nassar played the crucial roles.
