After having a break-up with Madhuri Dixit, socialite and model Rhea Pillai came into his life. They both got married in 1998. But this marriage didn’t last long and they got divorced in 2005. Reportedly they both were having extramarital affairs.

After getting divorced from Sanjay, Rhea started living with Tennis star player Leander Paes without marriage. Leander and Rhea became parents of a daughter named Aiyana. However, they also got separated after some time. She has filed a case against Paes and his father alleging domestic violence in June 2014 at a local metropolitan court.

Aiyana had a brain tumor and Rhea accused Leander of not giving her the maintenance. Due to this, she became penniless. Mid-day had reported on September 2, 2017, that Pillai made the demand for maintenance while alleging that Paes had been an absentee father, leaving her to bear the expenses for their daughter. She demanded a one-time payment of R42.37 lakh to pay her back for expenses already borne, as well as monthly payments of Rs. 2.62 lakh to support her and her daughter.
