Actress Sridevi made a comeback to Tamil film industry after more than 20 years with Vijay’s Puli Movie.  The actress has reportedly filed a complaint against the movie producers of Puli, PT Selvakumar and Shibu Thameens.

Puli Movie didn’t fare well at the box office unfortunately for Vijay and the producers.  Apparently, Sridevi is miffed that Rs 50 lakhs of her remuneration is still pending to be paid by SKT Productions. It is rumoured that Sridevi charged a whopping Rs 5 crore for the role of an evil queen in the film.

The actress filed a complaint against PT Selvakumar and Shibu Themeens at the Mumbai Producer’s Council, which in turn has been transferred to the Tamil Nadu Film Producer’s Council.

Puli movie producers got in to trobles with the Income Tax department raided houses and actor Vijay, a day before the release of the film. Possible reasons for the delay in payment to Sridevi include producers’ bank accounts being frozen and their financial dealings put on hold.

Producer Shibu Thameens, who is in hospital for surgery, tweeted that he would clarify the issue with Sridevi.

Now that Sridevi has taken the legal route to clarify the issue with Puli producers.
