Superstar Mahesh Babu’s “Srimanthudu”, which was released in theatres worldwide on 7th August, has received overwhelming positive response from fans, viewers and critics across the globe. The movie is continued to keep cash registers ringing at box offices worldwide in its fourth week also. Srimanthudu movie has grossed Rs101.25 crore in its first week worldwide. Eros International had released the Koratala Siva-directed Srimanthudu in over 2,000 theatres worldwide.

Srimanthudu Box Office Collections:

The Mahesh Babu and Shruti Haasan starrer became 2015’s second biggest opener and highest grosser Telugu movie (opening week) after “Baahubali – the Beginning”. When compared to its opening or first weekend collection, the Srimanthudu movie witnessed around 50% dip in its business in its second weekend. Film has done a huge business of around 156 Cr worldwide in its 3 week of release. The film is still running in its 4th week with average occupancy.  As of now, Srimanthudu movie collected Rs 160 Crore at the worldwide box office in 23 days. In its third week, Srimanthudu movie has managed to beat the lifetime collection record of Ranjinikanth’s ‘Lingaa’ in just 21 days of release.  In the third week, Srimanthudu faced tough competition from Raviteja’s Kick 2 and other new movies released. Srimanthudu movie collected Rs 4 Crore in its third week at the worldwide box office, taking its 23 day.

Superstar Mahesh Babu Srimanthudu’s pre-release business raised speculations thrilling the distributors of the film that it would beat the premiere show record of “Baahubali – the Beginning”. Unfortunately, this couldn’t happen Srimanthudu did a business of $500K in premiere shows in the US and the movie performed well in US bagging Rs 15 crore in its opening weekend. Taran Adarsh, a film trade analyst, took to twitter to share the turn-over the film made in US. By this Mahesh Babu has become the fourth all-time south Indian grosser. Traders are predicting that this movie will be able to break the record of Shankar’s ‘I’ movie. The film has made record-breaking collections. The theatrical rights of “Srimanthudu” were reportedly sold for a whopping price of Rs 55 crore and the movie has been successful in returning the investments with a huge amount of profit to its distributors.
