After playing the great role in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is come with his new movie in Bollywood named as ‘Manjhi’ The Mountain Man, which is based on the life of Dashrath Manjhi who is popularly known as the ‘Mountain Man’ whose is a laborer from Gaya district who carved a path through a mountain using only hammer and chisel in the memory of his wife (played by Radhika Apte).

The story revolves around a Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who broke a mountain and carved a road in between, to make it easy for the villagers to travel. Nawazuddin Siddiqui playing the role of Manjhi and Radhika Apte is seen playing the role of his wife. The small budget film Manjhi couldn’t succeed in grabbing audiences’ major attention, and pull them in theaters on its first weekend at the Box Office.

Nawazuddin and Radhika Apte starrer “Manjhi” The Mountain Man opened to a low response on the first and the second day at the box office. The collections have not been, well, mountainous in box office. It showed 60 percent jump on second day at the box office. “Manjhi”, which is based on a true story, earned just Rs 1.40 crore  on Friday. Collections rose to Rs 2.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 2.70 crore on Sunday, taking the overall domestic figure to Rs 6.35 crore. Earlier the content of the film and the final copy of the preview was leaked online.

Most of the people instead of watching the film in the theaters have downloaded and watched online. this one of the biggest reason for the slow start and low box office collections of the movie. However, most of the critics and viewers have praised the film and Nawazuddin’s acting was amazing throught the film.

The film worth a watch and some of the viewers even feel that the film should be nominated for the Oscars next year.
