Chinese Smartphone manufacturing firm, Gionee has finally launched its much-awaited Marathon M5 smartphone in India. Gionee has already confirmed that it will be launching the all new Marathon M5 smartphone on November 24 at an Event in Bengaluru. As promised, the company has unveiled the new smartphone with high-end specs and impressive features. Earlier this year, the company has launched this smartphone in China and now it took the wraps off in India.

Gionee launched the Marathon M5 smartphone in India at a price of Rs. 17,999 for the 32GB variant. Starting today, the device will be made available for exclusive sale via the E-commerce giant Flipkart. One of the amazing features of this new smartphone is its battery. Display: The new Gionee Marathon M5 features a 5.5-inch HD AMOLED display with 720×1280 pixel resolution.

Processor: The handset is powered by a 64-bit 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC.

Battery life of this device is one of the catchy things. The smartphone is backed by two 3010mAh batteries, taking the total to 6020mAh. The company claims that the batteries will last up to 4 days. Gionee Marathon M5 also features an extreme mode that can last up to a standby time to 62 hours with just 5 percent battery life.

Colors: The device will be available in three variant colors such as Black, Gold, and White colour variants.

The handset supports reverse charging, which means you can use the Marathon M5 as a power bank to charge other devices. However, users will have to purchase the reverse charging cable separately. The smartphone also has an extreme mode which can boost the battery life even further by restricting access to phone calls, messages, contacts and clock. The Marathon M5 is exclusively available via Flipkart at a price of Rs. 17,999. Starting Tuesday, the device will be exclusively available via Flipkart sans any registrations or flash sales.
